Liturgical Ministries

We are each given many gifts to share to benefit the community. Our liturgy is richer when each person contributes! We welcome you to any of our Liturgical Ministries for any of our Masses. Unless noted otherwise, please contact Pat McNulty at pmcnulty@columbuscatholic.org for more information.

Liturgy Interest Form

Lectors proclaim the Word of God. One is used for each Mass.    
 
Ministers of Holy Communion offer the Body of Christ* during Communion and assist in washing the paten bowl after Mass. *Please note that we are not able to offer the Blood of Christ at this time. 
Greeters welcome all those who join us for Mass. Two are used for each Mass to welcome people at the north doors by the parking lot!

​Altar Servers assist the priest by holding the Roman Missal, carrying the cross and other duties. One or two servers are used for each Mass. This ministry is open to undergraduate and graduate students.
 Sacristans prepare the bread and wine and altar area before Mass and assist in clean up after Mass.

Music Ministry

Our Music Ministry consists of over 100 musicians from all parts of our faith community singing and playing for Masses and liturgical services. We are always looking to add new vocalists, pianists, guitarists, percussionists and orchestral musicians to our ministry as we assist in the musical prayer of the Church.

Currently, we are scheduling vocalists, pianists, guitarists and string instrumentalists for the following Masses:  Saturday at 5:30pm; Sunday at 10a.m., Noon, 6p.m. and 9p.m.
