Reconciliation Team

The Reconciliation Ministries Team was formed at the Newman Center in concert and partnership with the Paulist North American Office for Reconciliation Ministries.   It was established to “develop a wide pastoral process to address the need for listening, healing, dialogue and reconciliation in the church today” and to “re-affirm reconciliation as an essential part of the Paulist vocation and ministry”.

The nineteen member Reconciliation Ministries Team is comprised of OSU students, members of the resident community, others from neighboring faith communities who share this vision and representatives from the Newman Center clergy and staff.

The primary focus of this ministry will initially be within the Newman Center.  The long range vision and directive of the Paulist General Council is to expand this initiative beyond the Newman Center by reaching into the larger community of which we are a part:  the Ohio State University, the Diocese of Columbus and the central Ohio region. We already are working in cooperation with the Dominican Sisters of Peace who value this initiative and it’s consistency with their mission.
