Faith Formation
Religious Education and Faith Formation Programs
Welcome!
Here at the Newman Center, we offer programs to engage every child in their faith.
Registration for CGS 2010-2011 is available June 5-August 15, 2010. Payment is required to complete the online registration. Sessions fill up quickly, so register early! If you would rather pay by installments or request a scholarship, please use this form.
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) approach to the religious formation of children for children 3-12 years old is rooted in the Bible, the liturgy of the church, and the educational principles of Maria Montessori.
The CGS program is a wonderful opportunity to involve many people and their time and talents. Our materials are largely handmade, utilizing skills of sewing, painting, woodworking and much more. Volunteers to help set up and take down the materials each week are also needed. Check out the Volunteer Opportunities in Faith Formation for additional opportunities and information.
Preparation for Reconciliation and First Eucharist are part of the Level II atrium. Please visit Sacramental Preparation to learn more about the preparation process.
