Emmaus Groups
Emmaus Bible Study Groups
Emmaus Groups are small church communities of about 6-12 students who gather to pray and share together on a weekly basis. They meet throughout the OSU campus in dorms, apartments, and students' homes. Groups meet to discuss their faith through bible study, prayer, community, and service. If you are interested in deepening your faith and fellowhip with others, these groups are for you!

On the registration form, you will see there are men's groups and women's groups, and it lists the day and time of the week, the location, and the student leaders for that group. You can list up to three possibilities that fit your schedule, and a student leader will follow up with you to let you know which group you are in. Will you meet Jesus on the Road to Emmaus?
"Now that very day two of them were going to a village seven miles from Jerusalem called Emmaus, and they were conversing about all the things that had occured. And it happened that while they were conversing and debating, Jesus himself drew near and walked with them, but their eyes were prevented from recognizing him." - Luke 24: 13-16
Often times, the crazines of everyday college life can challenge us to journey on paths that lead us away from our faith and down roads of confusion and despair similar to what happened to the disciples on the road to Emmaus.
How do you picture the disciples conversing with Jesus yet being unable to recognize him? Have you ever experienced something like this? Christ is ready to meet us wherever we are on the road of our spiritual journey where we can encounter the risen Lord! Join an Emmaus group today!
Emmaus Groups are sponsored by the St. Thomas More Newman Center and Saint Paul's Outreach.
